Carnitas Returns to Del Taco

Carnitas is back on the menu at Del Taco for a limited time this summer.

The chain's pork carnitas is braised for hours in "authentic Mexican spices." It is featured in a whole menu of items, including:

- Carnitas Street Taco - Carnitas, diced onions, chopped cilantro, and tangy green sauce, wrapped in a warm corn tortilla.

- Carnitas Combo Burrito - Carnitas, slow-cooked beans, house-grated cheddar cheese, and tangy green sauce, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

- Carnitas Loaded Fries - Crinkle-cut fries topped with carnitas, savory secret sauce, diced onions, and chopped cilantro.

- New Carnitas Big Fat Taco (pictured) - Carnitas, Del Taco's savory secret sauce, house-grated cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes folded in a buttery toasted flatbread.

- New Carnitas Quesadilla - Carnitas, house-grated cheddar cheese, and tangy green sauce folded in a flour tortilla

- New Carnitas Queso Loaded Nachos - Tortilla chips topped with carnitas, slow-cooked beans, Queso Blanco, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and sliced pickled jalapenos.

- New Carnitas Breakfast Big Fat Taco - Carnitas, Scrambled eggs, tangy green sauce, and house-grated cheddar cheese folded in a buttery toasted flatbread.

- New Carnitas Breakfast Burrito - Carnitas, scrambled eggs, house-grated cheddar cheese, and tangy green sauce, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

Del Taco has also brought back Independence Poppers and Funnel Cake Fries for a limited time.

Independence Poppers features either Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade, Sprite, or a vanilla shake mixed with strawberry fruit-flavored popping boba and blue raspberry syrup.

Funnel Cake Fries are fried and dusted with powdered sugar.
