Frozen Friday: T.G.I.Friday's - Grilled Chicken Mac & Cheese

T.G.I.Friday's brand Grilled Chicken Mac & Cheese frozen entree comes with white meat chicken and cavatappi pasta in an American cheese sauce topped with cheddar, Romano, parmesan and Monterey Jack cheeses.

A 12-ounce box retails for around $4.29, ranging about $2 to $3 on sale.

On the plus side, the chicken had nice grill marks (pretty is a plus!), was relatively plentiful and tender. And, the pasta was at the pleasing midpoint between firm and soft with nice ridges to catch the sauce.
On the not-so-great side, the cheese sauce is very liquid and a bit plain with mostly American cheese flavor. I was hoping it would thicken as it cooled but that was a no-go. I mean I saw some bits of the other cheeses before it melted, but I didn't really taste them after and that made me sad.
The end result is just too plain and liquidy for my liking. It needs like bacon or crunchy breadcrumbs or something to liven it up.

  1. If, for example, your business sells products that are typically purchased on a whim, a customer recognising your brand could persuade them to choose yours over another. Even if the customer was unaware that your business sold this particular product, they are more likely to purchase off you if they trust your brand.
