Taco Bell describes its new Volcano Sauce as a "creamy, craveable sauce made with a blend of cheese and flavorful spices, delivering the heat legacy of Lava Sauce that fans know and love." It's positioned as a "bold evolution of fan-favorite Lava Sauce." You can find it in the Volcano Quesarito and featured in the online-only Volcano Style Menu. Volcano Sauce can also be added to any menu item or ordered on the side.
The Volcano Quesarito (here's my previous review from when it cost $2.69 and contained Lava Sauce instead of Volcano Sauce) features a grilled quesadilla with melted cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and new Volcano Sauce wrapped around a filling of seasoned ground beef, seasoned rice, and reduced-fat sour cream. It carries a suggested price of $4.99 (it's $5.49 at my local Taco Bell here in Los Angeles).
The Volcano Style Menu can be found under the "Fan Style" tab on the Taco Bell website and mobile app when signed into your Taco Bell Rewards account. It includes:
- Volcano Crunchy Taco - A Crunchy Taco with Volcano Sauce added.
- Volcano Crunchwrap - A Crunchwrap Supreme with Volcano Sauce added.
- Volcano Cheesy G - A Cheesy Gordita Crunch with Volcano Sauce instead of Spicy Ranch.
- Volcano Steak Fries - Steak Garlic Nacho Fries with Volcano Sauce instead of Creamy Garlic Sauce.
- Volcano BellGrande - Nachos Bell Grande with Volcano Sauce added.
