Church's Brings Back Smokehouse Chicken with New Lemon Pepper Seasoning.

Smokehouse Chicken is back at Church's Texas Chicken for a limited time and is now available with a new Lemon Pepper dry rub in addition to Original and Spicy flavors.

Church's Smokehouse Chicken features a half chicken marinated for 12 hours, rubbed with a blend of seasonings, and then fried. It's served bone-in, skin-on, and unbreaded. Pricing starts at $5.99, which includes the half chicken, one of the chain's signature Honey-Butter Biscuits, and a pickled jalapeno pepper.

The new Lemon Pepper dry rub is described as "combining bright citrus with cracked black pepper."

Church's first introduced Smokehouse Chicken in 2017.
