Review: McDonald's - Caramel Apple Sundae

McDonald's Caramel Apple Sundae is a new slightly different permutation of their Hot Caramel Sundae and comes with vanilla soft serve ice cream, diced apples, caramel, and chopped peanuts.

It's available for a limited time for $1.49 and also comes in a yogurt parfait version.

While the parfait comes in the same cup as the Fruit 'N Yogurt Parfait, the sundae comes in a wider, shorter cup than the standard sundae. Maybe it's to better hold the apples, I'm not sure.
The ice cream to apples ratio is a bit off here and it seemed to me that a lot of the tart apple flavor was muted by the coldness of the soft serve as well as the amount of soft serve. It tastes fine but more like a caramel sundae with apples that I went through before half the sundae was gone. In short, I wanted more apples!

I guess I could have bought some Apple Dippers and added them to my sundae.

Overall, McDonald's Caramel Apple Sundae is good, but more apples would make it much better. For that caramel apple taste at McDonald's, I'd go with the yogurt parfait version.
