Review: Wendy's - Bacon and Blue on Brioche Burger

Wendy's Bacon and Blue on Brioche burger features artisan blue cheese from Wisconsin, blue cheese herb aioli, spring mix, tomato, three strips of thick-cut Applewood-smoked bacon, a quarter-pound beef patty, and a toasted brioche bun.

I bought one for $4.99 (sadly, they forgot the bacon...).

Frito-Lay Kicks Off 3rd "Do Us A Flavor" Contest

For the third year, Frito-Lay is inviting fans to submit their ideas for potato chips flavors in the 2015 Lay's "Do Us A Flavor" contest for a chance to see their flavor on shelves and win a $1 million grand prize.

In addition to coming up with a flavor and chip pairing, this year, Lay's is going with a "Tastes of America" theme and asking participants to include the location that inspired the flavor (like say Philadelphia for a Cheesesteak flavor or New York for a pastrami flavor).

Dairy Queen's February 2015 Blizzard of the Month

Dairy Queen's featured Blizzard this February is the Red Velvet Cake Blizzard. The blended frozen dessert features vanilla soft serve with red velvet cake pieces and cream cheese frosting mixed in.

Review: Papa John's - Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza

Papa John's new Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza features a hand-tossed crust topped with beef, hickory-smoked bacon, dill pickle slices, Roma tomatoes, and a zesty burger sauce instead of pizza sauce. It's basically last year's Double Cheeseburger Pizza plus bacon.

After a sub-par experience with the Double Cheeseburger, I bought a large Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza for $12 in hopes that bacon really does make everything better.

KFC fries up new Popcorn Nuggets, which appear to be the spiritual (and actual) successor to their discontinued Popcorn Chicken.

It's not immediate apparent what the difference between the two is, but according to company responses on Facebook, they're "even better than before."

Baskin Robbins' February 2015 Flavor of the Month

Baskin-Robbins brings back Valentine's Day-themed Love Potion #31 ice cream for February 2015's Flavor of the Month.

The flavor celebrates its 20th year and features a blend of white chocolate-flavored and raspberry ice creams swirled with a raspberry ribbon, and mixes in chocolate chips and raspberry-filled, chocolate-flavored hearts. You can order it in a cup, cone, milkshake, or sundae.

McDonald's to Randomly Accept "Lovin'" As Payment for Meals

Starting tomorrow, McDonald's begins their "Pay with Lovin'" campaign, where they will allow randomly selected guests to pay for their meal with a "small act of kindness" rather than with money. Examples of possible forms of payment include a friendly fist bump with the cashier, a call to a loved one, and a compliment.

Free Coffee at Chick-fil-A During the Month of February

Looking to promote the new "specialty-grade" coffee they introduced last year, Chick-fil-A will be giving out free cups of hot or iced coffee all day during the entire month of February.

The freebie is good for a either a 12-oz hot or 16-oz iced coffee (limit one cup per customer, per visit), while supplies last. No purchase is necessary to claim your cup.
