Wendy's Discontinues Waffle Cones and Shakes

Frosty Shakes and Waffle Cones are off the menu at Wendy's. A spokesperson for the chain confirmed to me that they removed the items at the tail end of September.

If they're still offering them at your local Wendy's, they're probably going through the last of their supply of syrup and cones, so get it while you can.

Review: Taco Bell - Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch

Taco Bell's Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch features seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and Pepper Jack sauce inside of a crunchy Doritos taco shell (choose from Fiery, Nacho Cheese, and Cool Ranch), which is then placed inside of a fluffy Gordita shell whose inner surface is covered in a melted 3-cheese blend.

I ordered the Nacho Cheese version via their new mobile app for $2.69.

McDonald's Shows You How a McRib is Made

McDonald's wants to shows you how a McRib is made in the latest video from their recent food transparency campaign.

Blaze Pizza's Meat Eater Pizza is a made-to-order and quickly-baked pizza topped with pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, and red (tomato) sauce.

It's normally $7.65, but I received this one courtesy of Blaze Pizza.

Dairy Queen's Blizzard of the Month for November 2014

The regular-menu Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard gets the nod as November's Blizzard of the Month at Dairy Queen. It keeps it simple with pieces of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup blended into vanilla soft serve.

Burger King UK Offers New Euro Trip Burgers

Promising a taste of Europe, Burger King UK is offering a trio of new burgers inspired by Italy, Spain, and Amsterdam with their new Euro Trip menu.

For Italy, there's the Italian Chicken Royale, which is very similar to the Italian Original Chicken Sandwich currently on rotation here in the U.S. (but with a fancier name). It comes with all the same ingredients but also adds lettuce and tomatoes to the mix.

They come 6 cakes to a 10.5-oz box, which I bought for $2.50 on sale.

Subway 2014 November Specials - New Simple $6 Menu

It looks like Subway is doing away with the Featured $5 Footlong altogether, at least for this month anyway.

All mention of $5 Footlongs have been removed from the Subway website, which suggests that there will no longer be any national $5 Footlongs (although I would guess a number of local franchisees will keep it around regionally).
