Review: Baja Fresh - Churros

My Favorte Churro

As a kid, I would always remember eating those long churros they served at Disneyland. I was fascinated by how they would go through the toasting machine and then were rolled through a tray of sugar and cinnamon. Sometimes, just thinking about it makes me want to go to Disneyland... But then I remember Disney now costs $66 (compared to $25 or so back then!) and those churros are now probably at least $5 a pop.

Fortunately, the other day I decided to go to Baja Fresh and saw that they now have churros(!) on the menu for 99 cents.

I think they bake it, but I could be wrong. It was very tasty: crispy, sweet, and crunchy on the outside, moist and soft on the inside. I took a good picture too! I kind of want a churro now...

  1. Costco! $1 Churros.

But, Disneyland does have that 3-foot-long churro cart.

  2. Costco Churros have gone downhill... the last one I had was very "meh."

Baja Fresh's Churros are much, much better!

  4. Cool photo! The churro looks very fat and twisty in your photo :).
Costco is good in our area. But they aren't as big anymore. It used to be so big- more than a foot. And now it's more average sized, but still big. I agree that they aren't as good, but they are at least better than average in my opinion- compared to cafeteria churros in schools and such (they are lumpy, broken, and cost the same as costco but are way smaller)

  6. Manager at Baja Fresh on Lake Mead in Las Vegas gave out free samples on Saturday. Yummy! I think they are fried, not baked. They reminded me of funnel cakes.

  7. My local Baja Fresh closed... so I guess I'll have to settle for Costco from here out...
