Review: Mtn Dew Overdrive

Mountain Dew continues with the exclusive convenience store flavors, this time partnering with Casey's to release Mtn Dew Overdrive, a citrus punch soda with flavors of mango, raspberry, and lime.

A 20-oz bottle is normally about $2.29 but I received this courtesy of PepsiCo.

Mtn Dew Overdrive smells like orange soda but with a touch of berry candy on the tail end.

In terms of taste, there's a generic fruity flavor and intense sweetness that comes across immediately. I don't really taste any specific flavors of mango or raspberry. The lime flavor is more noticeable in the aftertaste, which has a barely perceptible bitterness akin to lime zest.

Overall, Mtn Dew Overdrive was just a decent soda for me. I found the flavor profile a little generic and underwhelming, while the sweetness level was too high to be refreshing.
