News: Sonic Debuts New Iced Green Tea

Sonic adds a new line up of fresh-brewed green iced teas to round out their drink menu, which already includes black iced teas. Also new are five sugar-free flavored syrups: peach, mango, raspberry, blackberry, and mint.

The new green iced teas are available in Sweet (with sugar) or Diet (with Splenda). The sugar-free syrups are also sweetened with Splenda.

News: Dunkin' Donuts - New Ice Cream-Flavored Coffees

In a bit of co-branding, Dunkin' Donuts partners with sister brand Baskin-Robbins to offer new Baskin-Robbins ice cream-flavored iced coffees. Specifically, Dunkin' is offering Mint Chocolate Chip Iced Coffee and Old Fashioned Butter Pecan Iced Coffee.

Each flavor is made with a blend of brewed coffee and flavored syrup.

Review: Carl's Jr. - Jim Beam Bourbon Burger

Carl's Jr.'s Jim Beam Bourbon Burger features a "rich and tangy sauce flavored with Jim Beam bourbon," a single, double, or Six Dollar Burger patty, onion straws, two strips of bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a sesame seed bun.

I went with the single for $3.89.

News: Frito Lay - New Doritos Locos Taco Tortilla Chips

Frito Lay goes full circle in offering new, limited-time Doritos Locos Tacos Tortilla Chips. That's right, they're offering a bag of chips that's the flavor of the tacos that's the flavor of the chips. Actually, the new chips take a cue from the currently discontinued Doritos Collisions, where two different chips are offered in the same bag.

News: Dunkin' Donuts - New Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad Wraps

Dunkin' Donuts now offers new Wraps at participating Dunkin' locations nationwide. The new wraps are served in an 8-inch, warm flour tortilla with white cheddar cheese and bacon and mixes it up with two varieties: Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad.

The salad feature their respective proteins blended with mayo, celery, herbs, and spices.

Local Review: Bun Bun Tea House

Bun Bun Tea House in Arcadia is most notable for offering a Taiwanese take on classic American burgers. They offer several burgers and each order comes with French fries and a potato ball.

I got their Black Pepper Beef with Egg Rice Bun, but was also able to sample their Taiwanese Beef Burger and Taiwanese Juicy Pork Burger from my siblings. The Black Pepper Beef Rice Bun was $7.25, the beef burger was $6.50, and so was the pork burger.

News: New Pringles Stix

Pringles is branching out beyond potato crisps with new Pringles Stix. You might expect these to be made of dehydrated potatoes or potato flour, but their main ingredient is wheat flour.

The idea for Pringles Stix are that they are "fun to play with;" they're about just the right size to substitute as chopsticks or drumsticks.

News: Frito-Lay - New Tapatio Cheetos and Lay's Tapatio Limon

Frito-Lay offers two new Tapatio brand hot sauce-flavored snacks with Lay's Tapatio Limon potato chips and Tapatio Cheetos.

The flavors join an existing Tapatio-flavored line up that includes Tapatio Limon Ruffles potato chips and Tapatio Doritos tortilla chips and are currently available in the western and central regions of the US.

Review: Pepperidge Farm - Carrot Cake Cookies

Apparently, Pepperidge Farm is looking to other desserts for inspiration with their Dessert Shop cookie line. These Carrot Cake Cookies are soft-baked, spiced carrot cake cookies made with carrots, pecans, and cream cheese-flavored chunks.

I picked up an 8.6-ounce package for $2.69.

News: Nabisco - New Brown Rice Triscuit Crackers

Nabisco switches it up with a new line of Brown Rice Triscuits that, in addition to being made with a blend of whole grain brown rice and wheat, offer varieties that weave in pieces of sweet potato or red beans.

The new Brown Rice Triscuits are purported to be lighter in texture with a crispier crunch compared to the original. They come in five flavors:

Frozen Friday: Healthy Choice - Oven Roasted Chicken

Healthy Choice's Oven Roasted Chicken frozen meal features chicken tenderloins in a homestyle gravy, whipped potatoes, green beans, carrots, and peach dessert.

An 11.4-ounce box retails for about $3.99.

News: KFC to Offer New Boneless Original Recipe Chicken

In a move that might change KFC's core product, KFC plans to introduce new Original Recipe Boneless Chicken on April 14. For a chain that already offers strips and bites, and once offered Boneless Filets, you might ask what's the big deal?

Apparently, the new chicken will be available in dark meat and white meat pieces that will be bereft of bones and skin, but still be breaded and fried in Original Recipe fashion.
