Frozen Friday: DiGiorno - Pizzeria Primo Pepperoni Pizza

Pizzeria (stylized as "pizzeria!") is DiGiorno's latest line of pizzas meant to offer a pizzeria-style crust that you can bake at home. The Primo Pepperoni is topped with "premium" pepperoni and promises a "crispy outside, soft & airy inside, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil" crust.

An 18.7-ounce pie cost $5.49 at Target. I was actually hoping to pick up a Supreme, but this is the only variety they had.

Local Review: Grill 'Em All - Pig Champion

The Pig Champion is Grill 'Em All's version of a breakfast burger. It's like a whole breakfast plate, but on a burger and features a champagne hollandaise sauce, a round of Canadian bacon, a fried egg, and field greens on a half-pound medium-rare hamburger patty, sandwiched inside an egg bread bun.

One of these will run you an even $10.

Around the World: McDonald's Germany's Los Wochos is Back

Los Wochos is a Mexican-themed menu offered now and again by McDonald's in Germany. If you actually speak Spanish or like me, ran "wochos" through Google Translate, you realize that it is not a Spanish word. It's actually a bastardization of the German word "woche," which means week, although the promotion typically runs longer than that.

News: Taco Bell Testing a Waffle Taco

Taco Bell is currently testing a Waffle Taco as a possible First Meal breakfast item at at least one Southern California location as shown in this Instagram photo.

The menu item consists of a folded waffle filled with a sausage folded over some scrambled eggs. There's a packet of syrup on the side to sweeten the deal.

How's it taste? Sarah1ch5 was effusive in her praise, saying, "It was awesome!" and tagging it "#itsdelicious" and "#callitwafflebell."

Review: Nathan's Famous - Two Hot Dog Combo

Nathan's Famous restaurants aren't really found in Southern California, but there are a couple of them on the Strip in Vegas which is where I tried this Two Hot Dog Combo. It came with two hot dogs, topped with sauerkraut, and a side order of thick crinkle-cut fries.

Of course, since it was the Strip, there was a bit of a mark up and the combo cost me $9.95 (McDonald's was the only restaurant I found inside the casinos whose prices weren't marked up).

News: Burger King - Mix and Match Two for $5 Promo

Burger King's latest value play is a Mix and Match, Two for $5 promotion (last seen in March) valid on the Whopper, Original Chicken Sandwich, and Premium Alaskan Fish Sandwich. Under the promotion, you can order any combination of two of the three sandwiches/burgers for $5 at participating Burger King locations.

The Whopper normally sells for around $3.59, while the Original Chicken Sandwich is typically $3.99, and the Premium Alaskan Fish Sandwich is $3.19.

Carl's Jr./Green Burrito co-branded stores are purporting to offer a Southern California flavor with the new San Diego Burrito.

The burrito features charbroiled steak and the brand's natural-cut French fries rolled up in a flour tortilla along with guacamole, salsa, and shredded Jack and cheddar.

Custom Order: Starbucks - Chocolate Strawberry Frappuccino

I decided a Chocolate Strawberry Frappuccino from Starbucks sounded like a good idea and ordered a Grande Strawberry and Creme Frappuccino with two pumps of mocha sauce.

The price came out to $4.25 (down to $2.12 with the Happy Hour promo), which is the standard price for a Grande Strawberry and Creme Frappuccino. I think they usually charge for the extra sauce, but I'm not sure.

Neat! 7-Up Vending Machine Melts to Vend 7-Up Cans

7-Up took to Buenos Aires to unleash this little gem of a vending machine on the populace in the middle of a hot summer's day in Argentina. This carefully constructed-of-ice "melting machine" came complete with cans of 7-Up that passerbys could grab as it melted.

Fans were asked to place bets on Twitter as to when the last can would be set free with the winner receiving a free 6-pack of 7-Up. Neat, right?
