Review: McDonald's Egg White Delight McMuffin

McDonald's Egg White Delight McMuffin is a new option on McDonald's Egg McMuffin and substitutes the egg and American cheese for grilled egg whites and white cheddar processed cheese. The rest of the sandwich is the same: a toasted English muffin with 8g of whole grains and extra lean Canadian bacon (i.e. smoked ham).

My local McDonald's offers these for $2.89 each.

News: Jack in the Box - New Summer Menu Items

Jack in the Box welcomes summer with four new menu additions: Jack's Big Stack, Big Waffle Stack, Loaded Chili Cheese Wedges, and Iced Coffee. The tagline accompanying the new items is "Go Big or Go Hungry."

Jack's Big Stack comes on toasted Sourdough bread with two jumbo beef patties, American cheese, pickle slices ,onion rings, mustard, and mayo onion sauce.

News: Wienerschnitzel - New Jalapeno Cheese Corn Dog

For a limited time this summer, Wienerschnitzel serves up the new Jalapeno Cheese Corn Dog. It features a jalapeno and cheese stuffed hot dog with a deep-fried coating of corn meal batter. It's a basically a spicy option for corn dog fans.

Also featured this summer are new Summer Sippers, and new Chili Burgers.

Summer Sippers are flavored lemonades with Strawberry, Mango, and Blackberry options available. They're made with a base of Tropicana lemonade.

News: Papa John's - Double Bacon Six Cheese Pizza is Back

Papa John's limited time pizza continues this month with the return of the Double Bacon Six Cheese Pizza.

The pizza comes topped with Canadian bacon, hickory-smoked bacon, 3-cheese blend (provolone, Asiago, and Fontina), mozzarella, and Parmesan-Romano cheeses.

Review: Arby's - Apple Turnover

Arby's Apple Turnover is a flaked baked pastry with a sweet apple filling and a drizzle of sweet icing.

It's a value menu item at $1 a piece.

News: Chili's - One Million Flatbread Giveaway

Chili's is looking to promote their new flatbreads by offering them for free (via coupon) to up to one million customers who sign up for Chili's email club through chillismillion.com. If you're already signed up, you can still claim a coupon via the website.

The coupon is good for a free, full-sized flatbread for dine-in only (obviously they're hoping you won't just sit there and eat only the flatbread).

Behold... Domino's India's Taco Indiana! It's basically an Indian taco but could also be considered a semi-calzone.

I'm not sure about the "Indiana" portion of the name, but I'm pretty sure it has more to do with India (I think it's another way of saying "Indian") proper rather than the state of Indiana.

News: Togo's Returns BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Togo's returns their BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich for a limited time this summer. The sub features pulled pork in Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce with coleslaw on fresh-baked white bread.

The sandwich is available in both regular 6-inch and large 9-inch sizes, starting at $6.25.

Starbucks Asiago & Cheddar Bavarian-Style Pretzel is a hand-made, Bavarian (soft) pretzel layered with Asiago and cheddar cheese inside and flecked with Asiago outside.

Pizza Hut Canada unveils the new Cheesy Beef Poutine pizza as a "tribute to the classic Canadian street food favorite." It features shaved seasoned steak, fries, cheese curds, mozzarella, and gravy instead of pizza sauce.

The pizza is part of a new menu meant to celebrate the country's "diversity and multicultural outlook." Other pizzas on the menu include the Creamy Butter Chicken, Asian BBQ, Grilled Chicken Club, and Smoky Maple Bacon.

Review: El Pollo Loco - Mexican Cobb Salad

El Pollo Loco's Mexican Cobb Salad comes with diced, fire-grilled chicken, diced bits of bacon, sliced avocado, shredded jack cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, iceberg and romaine lettuce blend, and crunchy tortilla strips with a cup of creamy cilantro dressing.

One of these salads costs $6.19 in my area.

IHOP draws inspiration from jelly donuts and tiramisu for this year's new Signature Summer Pancakes. The rather elaborate pancakes are Banana Graham Nut Pancakes, Jelly Donut Pancakes, and Tiramisu Pancakes.

Banana Graham Nut Pancakes feature sliced bananas grilled inside buttermilk pancakes, layered with marshmallow cream, graham cracker crumb, and and honey-roasted pecans, topped with cinnamon cream cheese.
