Review: Arby's - Cajun Deep Fried Turkey Sandwich

Arby's Cajun Deep Fried Turkey sandwich features thick-sliced deep-fried turkey breast, Cajun spread, crispy onions, Cajun seasoning, tomatoes, and lettuce on a toasted star-cut bun.

I paid $5.49 for one.

As with the Deep Fried Turkey Club, the turkey turned out really well. It was juicy and meaty and packed with flavor. There isn't any crispiness to the turkey skin as it wasn't recently fried.

The Cajun spread was creamy but overly tangy with a bit of Cajun spices. The seasoning was sprinkled on offered similar spices but, counting salt as it's main ingredient, made for an overly salty eating experience.

The crispy onions contributed a light crunch and slightly caramelized onion-y flavor, while the lettuce and tomatoes were relatively fresh.

When it comes down to it, the Cajun Deep Fried Turkey sandwich isn't all that different, in composition, from the excellent Deep Fried Turkey Club but, between the rather tangy Cajun sauce and heavily salty seasoning, I didn't care for it.
