Starbucks Adds New Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino

Starbucks blends up the new Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino for their summer drink menu along with the returning S'mores Frappuccino.

The Midnight Mint Mocha Frapuccino is apparently inspired by the dark starry night sky during the warm summer months according to the Starbucks beverage development team.

It features extra-dark cocoa blended with coffee, milk, ice, and mint sugar crystals with a layer of whipped cream to break up the top and bottom halves of the drink. The drink is then topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with dark cocoa.

According to Starbucks, the new Frappuccino looks to tap in on the "dark food trend popular in social media, such as black macarons and charcoal ice cream."

The S'mores Frappuccino consists of a blend of graham cracker-flavored syrup, coffee, milk, and ice sitting on top of a layer of marshmallow-infused whipped cream and milk chocolate sauce and topped with the same marshmallow whipped cream plus crumbled graham crackers. You can find my review of it here.

Both beverages can be found for a limited time at participating Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada.
