Krispy Kreme Australia's New Apple Pie Donut Actually Looks Like Pie

Krispy Kreme is featuring the taste of classic American desserts in donut form over in Australia, including the Big Apple Pie Donut which comes with an actual lattice top.

While the lattice might look like crust, it's actually handmade with white chocolate and finely-crushed cookie crumbs. The rest of the donut is quite familiar with a yeast shell and apple cinnamon filling.

Other donuts in the American Classics line include the Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Campfire S'mores, and Coconut Cream Pie.

The Peanut Butter Jelly Time Donut features a shell donut filled with peanut butter and raspberry jam, dipped in peanut butter and white chocolate truffle icing, and topped with cookie crumbs plus a dollop of raspberry jam.

The Campfire S'mores Donut consists of a ring donut with marshmallow filling(!), dipped in chocolate, and topped with graham crackers crumbs, a few mini marshmallows, and a drizzle of chocolate.

Finally, the Coconut Cream Pie Donut includes a shell donut filled with coconut-infused cream, topped with white chocolate truffle icing and lightly-toasted shredded coconut.

While it might not be as fancy or robust a line up, Krispy Kreme is also featuring the tastes of classic American desserts this summer here in the States.
