The Cheesy Bite Pizza is an odd-looking pizza that takes the standard Pizza Hut Hand-Tossed Pizza and through some nifty folding and cutting, transforms the crust into 28 bite-sized, mozzarella-cheese-filled bread rolls and is served with two plastic cups of marinara sauce i.e. (pizza sauce) for dipping.
The result of all that folding and cutting was pretty tasty; a nice, warm, soft bread with salted, gooey, melted mozzarella cheese at the center. The dough they used had an enjoyable slight sweetness. I wouldn't mind just eating the Cheesy Bites sans the pizza.
Pulling off the Cheesy Bites from the pizza makes for an ugly slice with no crust though.
Interestingly, the pizza seemed to have more pepperonis and sauce than usual. Perhaps it was due to the crust being larger than normal, so that there was the same amount of sauce as a normal large but less surface area for it to cover. There was so much sauce, that some would drip out as I was eating. The concentration of sauce combined with pepperoni also made the pizza a tad on the salty side.
The included marinara sauce was used sparingly since the Cheesy Bites already had some sauce from the pizza and already had a decent amount of salt in both the dough and the cheese.
Overall, I really liked the Cheesy Bites and the rest of pizza was decent as well, if slightly on the too salty side.

Your Actualy only supposed to get one cup of sauce and it's sweet sauce (breadstick sauce) not pizza sauce. More pepperonies and sauce was probably due to you getting a different cook than before, some cooks don't fully spec there toppings. It's only $11.99 because it follows medium specs. These pizzas are a pain in the ass to make but there pretty good, the cheesy bites are sprayed with a garlic spray then sprinkled with a garlic powder.
ReplyDeleteHow many times have they brought this back already?
ReplyDeleteNot a clue. I first heard of it in '07ish but like sister chain, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut likes to experiment with their products frequently.
ReplyDeleteThis looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm... garlic...
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "cheesy" - this looks pretty dang good!
ReplyDeleteSkip this pizza and stick to your usual pan specialty. I wouldn't recommend it! Bites barely have cheese and are too buttery. But if you're looking for a great laxative, this is it :(
