Review: Burger King - Flamin' Hot Mac N' Cheetos

Burger King's Flamin' Hot Mac N' Cheetos feature a center of mac and cheese with a crispy battered coating flavored like crunchy Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

An order of five cost me $2.69.

The shell turned out well enough. It had a nice crunch to it and was certainly spicy with a lasting heat but it doesn't really deliver on the corn flavor or cheesiness of a Cheetos. They do kinda look like giant Cheetos cheese puffs though.

Inside, the mac was soft but the cheese wasn't melted at all. There did seem to actual crumbles of cheese in there but there wasn't the slightness melty goo. I even tried toasting a few of them in the oven. They turned out nice and hot but still no cheesy ooze. I'm surprised they didn't just put a nacho cheese-type sauce inside.

Unless your idea of mac and cheese is pasta with pasta with unmelted cheese on top, you're going to be disappointed with Burger King's Flamin' Hot Mac N' Cheetos if your experience turns out anything like mine. Still, they tasted alright otherwise.
