McDonald's Headquarter's 2018 International Winter Menu Includes the McAloo Tikki

McDonald's 2018 winter rotation of the international menu at their headquarter restaurant in Chicago features menu items from India, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Hong Kong, including the McAloo Tikki, a vegetarian burger that features a potato croquette-like patty.

Aloo tikki is essentially the Indian version of a potato croquette or hash brown that's made of potatoes, peas, and various curry spices and then deep-fried. In the case of the McAloo Tikki, it's breaded and deep-fried. The patty is accompanied by red onion, tomato, and an egg-free creamy tomato "mayo" on a toasted bun.

Here's what else is on the global winter menu:

- Chicken McMuffin with Egg (from Hong Kong, China, Singapore and other Asian markets) - You can easily get this at your local McDonald's with a custom order as it's just a McChicken patty, a fresh cracked egg, American cheese, and mayo on a toasted English muffin.

- Cheddar BBQ Bacon Burger (from Australia) - While the third-pound Angus beef patty is gone from the US (except in the headquarters restaurant during this promotion), it's still served in a number of countries, including Australia. The Cheddar BBQ Bacon Burger features the patty along with two slices of white cheddar cheese, two slices of bacon, grilled onions, mayo, and BBQ sauce on a toasted artisan bun.

- Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich (from Canada) - A grilled or crispy-fried seasoned chicken breast filet topped with red onion rings, leaf lettuce, tomato, mozzarella cheese, and a creamy tomato and herb sauce, on a toasted artisan bun.

- Deluxe Potatoes (from France) - Seasoned potato wedges with a creamy deluxe dipping sauce.

- Chocolaty Wafer McFlurry (from Germany) - Vanilla soft serve swirled with crushed chocolaty wafer candy bars plus a choice of hot fudge or warm caramel.

They've also kept on a couple of salads from Canada that were featured in previous rotations: The 'Keep Calm, Caesar On' Salad from the fall and the 'I'm Greeking Out' Salad from the summer.
