Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M's candies feature the "flavors of creamy peanut butter and sweet jelly, coated in milk chocolate and candy shells."
A 2.83-oz "share size" (AKA "king size") pouch costs $2.64, but I received this courtesy of M&M's.
Visually, Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M's are indistinguishable from regular Peanut Butter M&M's. They have the same plumped-up shape at a size that sits somewhere between a Milk Chocolate M&M and a Peanut M&M. Inside the crispy candy shell, there's the same core of peanut butter surrounded by milk chocolate. There isn't any sort of jelly or jam inside.
The key difference here is that there's a strawberry flavor to the chocolate that gives the candy that peanut butter and jelly feel. Since the fruity flavor is in the chocolate, it hits you up front before giving way to the richer, creamy peanut butter at the center. It's a nice enough flavor, but part of the draw of peanut butter and jelly is the different textures.
Overall, Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M's make for a pleasant eating experience, but could push the peanut butter-and-jelly factor by adding just a touch of jelly. As it stands, they could have easily just called these "Strawberry Peanut Butter M&M's."
