Wendy's Launches New Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger in Canada

Wendy's combines two favorite comfort foods--the cheeseburger and grilled cheese sandwich--in launching the new Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger in Canada.

Available now for a limited time, Wendy's Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger features two grilled cheese sandwiches as its buns. In between the two grilled cheese sandwiches, you'll find a quarter-pound beef patty, caramelized onions, mayo, and American cheese. You can also get it with double or triple patties.

The grilled cheese sandwich "buns" are made with melted cheese between two halves of a plain hamburger bun. Both grilled cheese sandwich "buns" are served with the top curved bun facing the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger's fillings.

The grilled cheese sandwich bun isn't without precedent among major fast-food chains here in the US. Jack in the Box once offered the Stacked Grilled Cheese Burger, which had a grilled cheese sandwich as its top bun.
