News: Taco Bell's Next Doritos Locos Taco Coming in May

At a conference call this morning, Taco Bell's Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Brandt, mentioned that their next-yet-unrevealed flavor of the popular Doritos Loco Line is due out in early May. Other topics covered included what's popular so far in Taco Bell's new breakfast, the reveal for the latest ad supporting breakfast, and what might round out the menu later on.

Review: Muller - Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Corner Yogurt

Muller's Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Corner Yogurt features lowfat yogurt mixed with dark chocolate shavings with a corner cup of raspberries in juice on the side.

A 5.3-oz container was $1 on sale.

News: Subway Trying Kung Pao Pulled Pork Sub

Subway recently introduced a new Kung Pao Pulled Pork sub in select markets (confirmed in Michigan) although it's unclear if it's a regional item or a market test.

Regardless, they already have a television ad for the new item, which appears to be their previously offered Applewood Pulled Pork but with a Kung Pao sauce rather than a BBQ sauce.

News: KFC Testing New Funnel Cake Fries

KFC is testing a new Sweet & Savory Go Cup out in Baltimore featuring new, sweet Funnel Fries instead of the potato wedges of their current Go Cups.

Funnel Fries are funnel cakes strips sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.

Review: Lancaster Vanilla and Caramel Soft Cremes

Lancaster Vanilla and Caramel Soft Cremes are a step back to Hershey's roots (before he ever started making Hershey's chocolate bars, Milton Hershey established the Lancaster Caramel Company) and feature a swirled blend of vanilla and caramel soft candy.

An 8-oz package was $3.99.

In case reading and pictures aren't your thing (or you want to read about junk food/fast food while in your car, but don't want to crash), you might want to check out the The Nosh Show.

It's a podcast about junk food and fast food hosted by some guys you might know: Marvo from The Impulsive Buy, Ryan from Grub Grade, Dubba from On Second Scoop, and Eric from Junk Food Guy. They’re all bloggers who have collectively reviewed thousands of products from store shelves and fast food menu boards (I just realized that I may or may not have reviewed over a thousand products myself...).

News: Boston Market- Two Half-Chicken Meals for $10.40 on Tax Day

Boston Market will be offering a "Tax Day Deal Chicken Meal" on April 15 (i.e. the day when income tax returns are due), where you can buy two half-chicken individual meals for $10.40 (as in the 1040 form most people use to file their taxes).

The half-chicken individual meal includes a half-chicken portion of the chain's signature rotisserie chicken, two regular sides and cornbread. It normally goes for about $8.29 (may vary).

News: KFC - Boneless Chicken Discontinued... for Now

It looks like KFC's Boneless Chicken wasn't quite the draw that was hoped: The company has relegated the product to "limited time offer" status and it is currently unavailable at many KFC restaurants (i.e. it's being discontinued).

Addressing a customer's recent Facebook inquiry of "Why did you stop selling boneless chicken?" KFC had this response:

Around the World: Chocolate Banana Frappuccinos Coming to Starbucks Japan

The latest in Starbucks' seemingly never-ending rotation of limited-time flavors in Japan is a chocolate banana Frappuccino that they're calling the "Fresh Banana & Chocolate Cream Frappuccino." There will also be a caramel and banana version. Both are set to arrive on April 16, 2014.

The Fresh Banana & Chocolate Cream Frappuccino blends a whole banana with a chocolate Frappuccino, and tops it off with whipped cream, chocolate brownie crumbles, and chocolate sauce.

News: Jamba Juice - $2.99 Peach Pleasure & Banana Berry Smoothies

Jamba Juice is offering two of their classic smoothies, Peach Pleasure and Banana Berry, at a discounted $2.99 for a small.

News: Fazoli's - New Nutella Cheesecake

Fazoli's is now offering a new, limited-time Nutella Cheesecake. The decadent dessert features cheesecake made with Nutella hazelnut spread topped with a layer of Nutella, on a chocolate graham cracker crust.

Fazoli's Nutella Cheesecake is priced at $2.49 per slice.
