Review: Muller - Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Corner Yogurt

Muller's Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Corner Yogurt features lowfat yogurt mixed with dark chocolate shavings with a corner cup of raspberries in juice on the side.

A 5.3-oz container was $1 on sale.

The lowfat yogurt has a thicker consistency than most yogurts and a nice creaminess. There's a definite semi-sweet dark chocolate taste to it from the shavings that leaves it feeling like cold but not frozen chocolate chip ice cream. It's pretty good and I could easily eat it as is, without the raspberries. The shavings have a particularly enjoyable melty texture over frozen chocolate chips in ice cream.

The raspberries add a powerful hit of fruity tart sweetness that, combined with the yogurt, lends a chocolate-covered raspberry vibe. Be warned that the raspberries are very sweet and almost sour. I ended up using about half the cup with my yogurt. The extra would probably go well with some toast.

Overall, I wasn't sure what to expect with Muller's Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Corner Yogurt but it didn't disappoint. The yogurt and dark chocolate shavings are tasty and go really well together, especially if you're looking for chocolate chip ice cream in yogurt form. And, the raspberry adds enjoyable contrast and variety.
