Review: Little Caesars - Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Deep Deep Dish Pizza

Little Caesars' Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Deep Deep Dish Pizza features Detroit-style deep dish pizza with a cheese and pepperoni stuffed crust along its edges. It also comes topped with pepperoni by default.

I picked one up for $10.

The Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Deep Deep Dish Pizza is pretty much the Stuffed Crust Deep Deep Dish Pizza they offered from back in March but with slices of pepperoni stuffed in the crust with the cheese. Everything I wrote back then holds true of this pizza: The crust turned out nice and crispy all along the edges, the crumb was dense but spongy and moist with a good chewiness. It is an especially cheesy pizza both on top and in the crust. The cheese actually stretched and was gooey. If you like cheese-lovers-type of pizzas, you'll find all that and more here.

As for the pepperoni in the crust: It lined the edges but left the corners bereft. The slices overlapped so that I didn't miss out on any pepperoni except at the aforementioned corners. The slices aren't easy to bite through though and tended to pull out of the crust as a result. The extra pepperoni added an extra meaty flavor that I welcomed. Given that it was embedded in the crust, they didn't crisp up any but that was expected. Plus, there's plenty of crunch from the crust itself.

What it comes down to is that I really liked Little Caesars' Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Deep Deep Dish Pizza. As I stated before, it's everything I liked about the Stuffed Crust Deep Deep Dish Pizza but with more pepperoni. Since I love pepperoni, it's great! Plus the price is the same as the original version so I got a little more value out of it.
