First off, the Beefy Crunch Burrito contains a normal serving of ground beef so it's not really that "beefy" in that respect or in size; it's about the same size as a Taco Bell Bean Burrito.
The main flavor is provided by the Fritos which managed to retain just a little bit of their crunch and imparted a fair amount of flavor and quite a bit of heat. The Beefy Crunch Burrito could probably fit on Taco Bell's Volcano menu in that respect.
I tasted most ingredients in every bite except my particular burrito was a bit lacking in the rice department.
Some bites were just a little more salty than I would like, but overall I enjoyed this one; the Fritos actually added a lot of new flavor to the Taco Bell menu. Well, at least, for the limited time that it will be available anyway.
On a side note, I wonder if Flamin' Hot Cheetos would have been a better choice. I think, given their thicker shape, they would be a lot crunchier than a chip.

These are good, more than worth the small price. They decided to take a unique route by putting chips in their taco. And it works, too! I wonder if they're still selling these??
ReplyDeleteThey should be selling them for a little while longer.
