There's not much to say about Hungry-Man's classic side trio (i.e. corn, mashed potatoes, and brownie) that I haven't said already other than they've pretty much perfected it. It's really as good as it gets from the microwave.
As far as the meatloaf is concerned, it's not that different from Salisbury Steak. I wouldn't be surprised if they used the exact same patties but with a different gravy. What you'll find here is finely ground meat and not much else, no bits of onions, breadcrumbs or other bits you might find in a home-made meatloaf. You know, the stuff that gives a meatloaf its character. That being said, the meatloaf is juicy and slightly seasoned.
The gravy seems to be a variant of the typical watery brown gravy Hungry-Man uses in it's beef patty dishes but with bits of tomato thrown in. If I closed my eyes for a taste, I don't know that I could tell the difference. The gravy is fairly simple but it does the job. I guess if you wanted more of a home-style flavor, you could squeeze in some ketchup.
Overall, Hungry-Man's Meatloaf is probably the baseline for frozen dinners and pretty decent. It's not my favorite but I wouldn't turn it down either so it's somewhere in the middle for me as far as Frozen Friday goes.
