Frozen Friday: Bibigo Chicken & Vegetable Mini Wontons

Bibigo's Chicken & Vegetable Mini Wontons are mini Korean-style wontons (mandoo) filled with a mix of chicken and veggies (mostly cabbage).

The suggested price is $4.49 for a 13-oz bag but I received these courtesy of Bibigo.

These are bite-sized which make them very convenient to cook. It takes one minute in the microwave or five minutes to pan-fry them. You can also drop them in as you heat up soup or boil ramen. They don't stick too bad either.

The skins turn out pretty well. They're thin but not so much that they break open easily and there's a nice chewiness to them.

These are pretty meaty given the size. Inside the chicken was juicy and flavorful with a bit of a spongy texture. The cabbage was plentiful (enough to smell and taste) and make up the bulk of the "vegetables." In fact, calling these "Chicken & Cabbage Mini Wontons" would be more apt. Between the seasoned (mostly oyster sauce, soy sauce, onion, and garlic) chicken and the cabbage, there was enough flavor that you can safely forgo dipping sauce if you have to.

The bottomline is Bibigo's Chicken & Vegetable Mini Wontons offer a very attractive blend of taste and convenience, especially if you like the idea of poppable potstickers.
