Review: Taco Bell - Breakfast Quesadilla

Taco Bell's Breakfast Quesadilla features bacon or sausage crumbles, egg, and 3-cheese blend grilled/pressed in a folded flour tortilla.

I went for the bacon version and it cost me $1.99.

The Breakfast Quesadilla is the same size as the chain's regular quesadilla. Considering that a Cheese Quesadilla at Taco Bell goes for $2.89, the breakfast version's price is really nice.

Compared to the since-discontinued A.M. Breakfast Griller or current Breakfast Tacos, the Breakfast Quesadilla takes the same components but goes much heavier with the cheese.

The cheese was thoroughly melted and did a pretty good job of keeping the ingredients from spilling forth from the tortilla.

The bacon did the bulk of the lifting as far as flavor was concerned. It delivered an enjoyable smoky note along with a meaty ham-like texture (partially due to the complete lack of crispiness).

The eggs weren't fluffy but they were soft and plentiful.

While it doesn't offer much in the way of newness to the Taco Bell breakfast menu, the Breakfast Quesadilla manages an enjoyable cheesy option that's quite affordable.
