Review: Taco Bell - Triple Melt Burrito

Taco Bell's Triple Melt Burrito features seasoned beef, seasoned rice, shredded three-cheese blend, and warm nacho cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla for $1.

Between the three-cheese blend and the nacho cheese, the Triple Melt Burrito delivered a very cheesy experience that was also oddly mild and lacked the distinctiveness of any particular cheese (i.e. it was generically cheesy).

Unfortunately, the overt cheese factor left the rice and beef feeling a bit lacking. The former more so than the latter. The rice ended up tasting like cheesy plain rice while the beef was slightly better off with a curiously muted flavor to the highly-seasoned soft beef granules.

Between the new Triple Melt Burrito and the new Triple Melt Nachos, the nachos felt like the more varied and enjoyable of the two.
