An individual-size order cost me $1.99, which was a little cheaper than their regular sides.
These taste a lot like Popeyes' Red Beans and Rice minus the rice. There's an earthiness from the lightly seasoned beans joined by a substantial amount of smokiness and a decent spicy kick. While I definitely felt the heat of the jalapeno and poblano peppers, I couldn't make out the flavor of the peppers.

Overall, I quite enjoyed Popeyes' Black Eyed Peas, which isn't a surprise as I like their Red Beans and Rice as well. I feel you get more bang for you bucks since you get more of the beans and broth here than with the Red Beans and Rice.
