International Weekend: Bouvard - Vanilla Wafers

Bouvard Vanilla Wafers come from France. The box states that the French call them "Langue du chat" or "Cat's Tongue" due to the shape of the wafers.

I picked up a 100g (3.5-ounce) box for $1.99.

These were a little disappointing for me. Mostly because they taste like Nilla wafers with a softer, slightly airier texture. I suppose it makes sense since they're both vanilla flavored wafers but still...

There's a distinct vanilla flavor throughout and each wafer is pretty light which is good if you just want a very light snack.

Overall, these were just okay for me and a little too familiar. I prefer Bouvard's Butter Biscuits for sure.
