International Weekend: Bouvard - Butter Biscuits

Bouvard's Butter Biscuits or "Petit Beurre" come from France but I was able to pick up a 175g package at a local supermarket for $2.59.

Butter Biscuits are a type of tea biscuit. They're typically eaten with tea or coffee and are made with real butter.
They remind me of  brand of non-graham animal crackers with a similar crunch and texture but an additional and very nice buttery flavor that is quite tasty. They're not overly sweet for cookies with a more subtle helping of sugar.
I used to eat a similar cookie occasionally growing up (same type of cookie, different brand). I loved to dip them in milk which they hold pretty well although I remember they could get soggy and fall apart in the milk when I dipped them for too long. They have a nice, textured edge I used to like to bite off as a kid.

I recommend trying these if you haven't. They're simple but very good.
