Qdoba Adds Meatless Impossible Protein to Menu

Qdoba is adding plant-based Impossible protein to the menu in a staggered roll-out that starts April 23, 2019.

Qdoba seasons the beef-like (in taste and texture) Impossible protein with a blend of tomatoes, garlic, smoked chiles, paprika, and diced red onions. They describe the result as "savory, slightly smoky, and delicious."

Like their other protein options, you can pick it as part of a build-your-own entree or go with one of the chain's pre-selected recipes:

- Qdoba Impossible Bowl - Cilantro-lime white rice and black beans are layered with 3-Cheese Queso, pico de gallo, guacamole, and seasoned Impossible protein.

- Qdoba Impossible Taco - Impossible protein, red onions, cilantro, and salsa verde folded in a corn tortilla.

Starting April 23, 2019, Qdoba will be offering Impossible protein at select restaurants in Brooklyn, Denver and Los Angeles. By May 28, 2019 it will be available at more than 730 locations nationwide.
