A Look at Cap'n Crunch's Christmas Crunch Cereal

Quaker brought back limited-edition Cap'n Crunch's Christmas Crunch cereal, which features red and green holiday shapes in addition to regular Cap'n Crunch cereal, for the 2020 holiday season.

A 13-oz box usually goes for around $2.09, but I received this box courtesy of Quaker.

Cap'n Crunch's Christmas Crunch is only aesthetically different and tastes the same as Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries cereal. I did notice that the holiday shapes got soggier than the regular Crunch Berries in milk.

This happened to a typical situation of expectation versus reality. According to the box picture, there are supposed to be four shapes in total in both red and green: stars, Santa hats, Christmas trees, and snowmen. What comes out of the box instead are misshapen, bloated versions of the intended holiday shapes. The snowmen in particular fared the worst and just looked like blobs.

Cap'n Crunch's Christmas Crunch would have been a fun twist on the cereal had the shapes actually looked as intended, but it definitely missed the mark.
