Auntie Anne's Teams Up with Evil Genius Beer Company to Brew Beer Made with Pretzels

Auntie Anne's partners with Evil Genius Beer Company to come up with a new, limited-edition Oktoberfest-style lager that's brewed with imported German hops, malts, and Auntie Anne's baked, soft pretzels in time for the 2022 Oktoberfest season.

They're calling the new beer, "Is Butter a Carb?" The flavor of the new pretzel beer is described as "a rich malt backbone balanced by delicate hop character, and a prominent toasty flavor profile that is rounded out with pleasant salinity." Auntie Anne's also recommends pairing the new beer with one of their pretzels.

Unfortunately, "Is Butter a Carb" Pretzel Oktoberfest beer will not be available nationwide as Evil Genius doesn't distribute beer all across the country. You'll only be able to find the new beer for a limited time starting today in nine states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.

If you happen to be in the Philadelphia area, they'll be throwing an Oktoberfest Party at the Evil Genius brewery in Philadelphia on Thursday, August 18, 2022. The party will include "the Auntie Anne's crew, a stein-hoisting competition, the Auntie Anne's Food Truck, and traditional German Music."
