Review: Kellogg's Pandora Flakes Cereal

Kellogg's Pandora Flakes cereal features Kellogg's frosted corn flakes cereal with mini blueberry-flavored "moon" spheres inspired by the recently-released Avatar: The Way of Water movie.

A 10.2-oz box costs $4.99 but I received this courtesy of Kellogg's.

The box sports a shiny, textured, blue water design that's eye-catching and pretty as it catches and reflects the light.

The shiny texture wraps around the box, which also includes an Avatar-themed Tony the Tiger and a graphic depicting what might be a scene from the movie.

While regular Kellogg's Frosted Flakes don't smell like much, a berry-flavored aroma (because actual blueberries don't smell like much to me either) escaped the bag upon opening. Both the flakes and the "moons" gave off the smell of berries (er... berry flavor).

Basically, Pandora Flakes tasted like Frosted Flakes mixed with Kellogg's take on Cap'n Crunch Crunchberries (which is made by Quaker Oats). The flakes offered a very familiar, sweetened, crispy and slightly craggy, thin crunch, while the "moons" had a puffed texture similar to Cocoa Puffs and Kix but with a generic berry flavor. If you're wondering what berry-flavored Frosted Flakes would be like, this is pretty close and makes for a nice flavor.
