Review: Jack In The Box - Really Big Chicken Sandwich

Jack in the Box's Really Big Chicken Sandwich
Jack in the Box's Really Big Chicken Sandwich takes their value-priced Chicken Sandwich as a base, double ups on the chicken patties, and adds two slices of cheese, a slice of tomato, and two strips of bacon. It's available in a value-priced combo with curly fries and a small drink for $3.99.

While I wouldn't say the sandwich is "really" big, at least not to American standards (see Man v. Food), but two chicken patties gives you a lot of chicken. It would be awesome if they actually made a super-thick mega chicken patty instead of just putting in two patties, but I'm sure there would be food safety concerns in ensuring that it would cook through or it just might take too long to cook.

Anyways, not a great sandwich, but not bad either. I would taste the bacon here and there. The tomatoes and lettuce were nice and fresh on this day. The cheese was very mild and largely superfluous. But, I did get a lot of somewhat crisp, chicken patty flavor; I only wish Jack in the Box's chicken patties didn't remind me so much of the ones in the frozen food aisle.

It is late July, why does the tomato look white?! Did they get it from Canada?

  2. Haha, I think it's combination of the sunlight and the slice being closer to the stem.
