National Pretzel Day began in 1983 when then-US Congress member Robert S. Walker declared his favorite food, the pretzel, should get its own celebratory day but it was not until 2003 that then-Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell officially declared April 26th as National Pretzel Day.
Here's a list of 2024 National Pretzel Day deals and specials:
- Auntie Anne's - On April 26, 2024, Rewards members can get a free Original or Cinnamon Sugar pretzel.
- Ben's Soft Pretzels - On April 26, 2024, you can get a free Jumbo Pretzel when you donate $1 or more at participating locations. Proceeds benefit Tunnel To Towers.
- The Greene Turtle - On April 26, 2024, you can get half off the price of an order of Bavarian Pretzel Sticks.
- Philly Pretzel Factory - On April 26, 2024, you can get a free pretzel (no purchase necessary) at a participating Philly Pretzel Factory store or Walmart location (excluding transportation and entertainment venues). Additionally, if you use the Philly Pretzel mobile app will earn double points for any purchase on the day.
- Pretzelmaker - On April 26, 2024, you can receive free Salted or Unsalted Small Original Pretzel Bites at participating locations.
- Wetzel's Pretzels - On April 26, 2024, Wetzel's will be offering one free Original Pretzel per person from 3PM to close (no purchase necessary).
