Review: Wendy's - Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap

A test item available at some Wendy's restaurants, the Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap is a mix of a halved value crispy chicken patty, Asiago cheese, Caesar dressing and lettuce wrapped up in a flour tortilla.

It's on the value menu for 99 cents at my local Wendy's.

Often times, Wendy's feels a little more upscale than say Carl's Jr. or McDonald's, this is not one of those times but at 99 cents, the Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap is one of the cheapest snack wrap options out there.

The wrap actually contains a whole crispy chicken patty cut into halves. I'm not fond of the flavor of the chicken inside a wrap though, it's a bit plain.
Most of the flavor is provided by the fancy Asiago cheese which plays to Wendy's slightly more upscale image but not so much when paired with the value chicken patty. There wasn't too much Caesar dressing or lettuce for that matter. I think it would have been better with more lettuce and less chicken (*Gasp* I know right?!) to balance out the cheese and give it more of a salad wrap feel.

  1. Hmmmm.......Calories - 430

Using a nifty on-line calorie counter tubby (but not extremely tubby) needs around 2100 calories daily to mainteen weight; nether losing or gaining.

Using my handy-dandy calculator I could devour a mere 4.88 of Crispy Chicken Caesar Wraps before I would commence accumulating additional blubber.

    Hmmmmm.  Ponder time.

The wrap is not repulsive in appearance. But, its appearance does not call out to me; "Obbop.. oh Obbop...... you incredibly handsome hunk of maleness... grab me, devour me, digest me, darling!!!!!"

I will likely ignore the item based partly on calorie versus quantity factors.

If I could munch on 8 or so of the wraps before reaching calorie equity or... logically.. less than 8 with room for other edibles, I MAY consider a Wendys Wrap.

    HEY!!!!!!!!!!

Wendys Wrap;  I think that's a better name then the one the likely highly-paid higher-ups at Wendys decided upon.

Why can't I get a job at some corporate entity where a societal dreg such as I can get a decent wage and, GASP!!!!, even receive health insurance typically unobtainable by the working-poor class. Especially those performing the jobs the politicians and so many higher-ups declare "Americans will not do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Excuse me. It is hard to not get angered when I see so MUCH poverty and lack of jobs and the few jobs that do appear paying so little with no benefits.

Anyway, at least there are low-cost edibles. Perhaps priced low so common folks can eat them!!!!!!!

Perhaps not the healthiest food but it keeps folks alive.

Ask for extra condiments that are healthier for folks. Extra tomato, perhaps.

Omit the mayo or other fattening condiments.

For the homeless without cooking facilities wraps, cheap burgers, etc. can be life savers!!!!

I hope Wendys and others keep their value Wendys going. They ARE performing a public service doing that!!!!!

And Brand Eating is also performing a public service and I commend them AND recommend them to others!!!!!!!

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Oh... Wendys DOES tend to be a bit "free-er" with adding healthy condiments when asked.

    That's been my experience, generally.

So, likely no wrap for me but Wendy budget burgers will continue to be rent asunder by my few remaining teeth and slide down into my aging stomach.

  2. I tried this about a month ago. Can't remember exactly now, but I knew I wasn't a fan of it. Maybe I had too much of the dressing or something - like I said, I'm not sure what it was - but after trying it I decided not to order it again. Something was just off
