Review: Oscar Mayer - Honey Ham & Swiss Sandwich Combos

Oscar Mayer's New Sandwich Combos appear to be an adult version of their Lunchables line. The Honey Ham & Swiss Sandwich Combos (it really should be "Combo" but whatever) is more or less what you'd pack into a sack lunch with a ham and swiss sandwich, a sugar free Jell-O Chocolate Flavored Mousse Temptations and a 100-calorie bag of Ritz Baked Snack Mix.

The regular price is about $2.99 for a package.

The sandwich comes on a Thin Sandwich bun which is a carb-friend solution for those who want bread but not too much carbs (The package still rounds out at 51g of carbs so I'm not sure what's the point) and also features some whole grains. Anyway, sandwich thin = gross. It tastes a lot like the thin end pieces of a store-bought loaf and doesn't supply much in the flavor department.

I would rather just ditch the bun and eat just the ham and swiss which also lacked on the flavor front leaving me with a very bland and slightly dry sandwich tasting mostly of mustard. One of the worst sandwiches I've had. Ever.

I like real sugar so I gave the Sugar Free Chocolate Flavor Mousse Temptations (again with the "s") to a co-worker who promptly complained about the taste and texture. Jell-O mousse really doesn't have the proper smooth texture.

The only highlight of the whole deal was the bag of Baked Ritz snack mix which were decent but in minature; I guess so that it'll take you longer to eat it unless you just dump the package in your mouth.

Oscar Mayer's Honey Ham & Swiss Sandwich Combos is a definite pass for me. I'd rather go with a Lunchable.
