McDonald's Adds More Color to Salads with New Blend

McDonald's updates their salad blend for a more colorful look with the addition of red leaf lettuce and curled carrots starting this month.

The salad blend serves as the base for all the chain's salads and offers at least 2.5 of the daily recommended servings of vegetables.

With the addition, the current ingredients to the blend include "Romaine lettuce, baby spinach, carrots, baby kale, lollo rossa lettuce, red leaf lettuce, red oak lettuce, red tango lettuce, red Romaine lettuce, red butter lettuce and grape tomatoes.

They've been tinkering with their salad mix recently. Last year, saw them do away with iceberg lettuce in favor of Romaine along with the addition of baby spinach and kale.
