News: Burger King - Tendergrill Chicken Now on Whole Wheat Ciabatta

In a move toward making their healthier fare healthier, Burger King recently announced a new whole wheat ciabatta bun for their Tendergrill Chicken Sandwich. The touted benefits of the new bun are 9 grams of whole grains, fewer calories, less sodium, and less fat (but interestingly, more saturated fat). The sandwich sells for a retail price of $3.99

Inexplicably, according to the Burger King website, the new bun contains 15 grams of protein. Check out the full nutritional comparison after the jump.

  1. Hm. I dunno. I've never had a Tendergrill Chicken sandwich before. I did have a Chicken Whopper but they discontinued it in favor of the Tendergrill I think.

  2. gee, do you think the change in calories and fat etc. could have anything to do with the fact that they SHRUNK the sandwich in addition to changing to a healthy (dry) bun? why do they keep changing the only sandwich I (used to) like there?
