Review: McDonald's - Snack Size Reese's McFlurry

McDonald's Snack Size Reese's McFlurry
I tried McDonald's new Snack Size Reese's McFlurry on a recent trip to San Francisco. A McFlurry is McDonald's answer to DQ's popular Blizzard, which is to say it is vanilla soft serve blended with a topping (in this case, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups). I paid $1.69 for my Snack Size McFlurry (a full ten cents cheaper than the $1.79 charged at my local McDonald's).

I have to say, McDonald's soft serve is pretty good, it's soft but still holds together pretty well. Add bits and pieces of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and it's dynamite!

I could really taste the chocolate and peanut butter much like if you opened a package of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and tossed it with soft serve in a blender. The bits weren't frozen so they melted in your mouth. I have to say that room temperature Reese's blended in soft serve is so much better than ice cream with frozen peanut butter cups in it.

The snack size is just the perfect amount for me. Not too much that you get sick of it or feel like a glutton, but not too little so that you feel gypped and unsatisfied.

The Reese's McFlurry definitely has a leg up over Oreos and M&Ms. I highly recommend trying the Snack Size Reese's McFlurry if you are any fan of peanut butter cups. It's really too bad it's not a regular topping at McDonalds.

  3. @TheWarden: Thanks for commenting and reading! I think the Reese's Snack Size McFlurry is currently at all McDonald's but possibly for a limited time unless it is super popular!

@RateBakeCreate: Haha, I get tired of eating ice cream (and most foods) if there is too much.
