Frozen Friday: Totino's Pizza Rolls

Totino's Pizza Roll box
Totino's Pizza Rolls are mini bite-sized pizza crust rolls with pizza filling inside. They come in a variety of flavors but the ones I usually see are: Cheese, Pepperoni, and Combination (sausage and pepperoni). A 7.5-ounce box goes for $2.99 at my local Alberton's but go on sale from anywhere between $1 and $2. For a buck more at $3.99, they also sell a 19.8-ounce bag which is a much better value.

These make great snacks for any sporting events or get together. They don't require utensils, quick to prepare (even in the oven), and are generally non-messy. They taste like mini pizzas! The crust is just a little chewy and the taste is better then some pizza chains.

I liked these a lot as a kid and still eat them occasionally today.

I would caution that the filling gets really hot though and I have burned my tongue on a Totino's Pizza Roll on more than one occasion in my enthusiasm to eat them. I now use my siblings/cousins/friends for test subjects before eating one myself (I'm smart right?!).

  1. You gotta do a totino's/jeno's review!

  2. I don't get the pizza roll thing but my teens, nephew and friends love them. With double coupons I usually get them for .20 a box. Can pass them up at that price even if I think they're gross. I did like the chemical flavored cheese burger flavor they retired years ago. Bummer that they're gone.

  3. I want some pizza rolls for 20 cents a box! But yes, there is something I've always found very cool about pizza rolls.

  4. I used to eat those slathered with Tabasco sauce.
