Review: Sonic - Chicken Strip Sandwich

Sonic Chicken Strip Sandwich
Sonic's Chicken Strip Sandwich is basically your typical fastfood value chicken sandwich, but with two strips of battered and fried all-white meat chicken instead of a chicken patty. It's priced a little more than the normal dollar at $1.19.

I liked that Sonic's batter is thicker and not as bread-y as some other sandwiches, that they went easy on the mayo, and that the dense, soft bun had a bit of sweetness to it. Some people might like that the chicken strips are whole rather than made of ground chicken.

What I didn't like, or thought could have been better, was that the chicken was a bit dry, and that the chicken strips sometimes shifted around as I was eating leaving me one of two times with a mouthful of lettuce and bun.

  1. Yeah the strips do tend to fall off while your eating the sandwich ,but my sister likes it better than the McChicken.

  2. I can't recall ever ordering that sandwich.

Maybe because I figured the amount of food received per buck spent was maximized by ordering that chicken strip dinner with fries, onion ring and gravy included.

  3. I had this a few months back and pretty much agree with everything you said. The chicken kept just falling out of the bun and the whole sandwich was rather bland. I'd rather just have a McChicken

  4. The McChicken does have a lot more seasoning to it.
