Review: El Pollo Loco - Sweet Potato Fries

The final member of El Pollo Loco's new premium side triumvirate, Sweet Potato Fries are lightly battered and deep-fried from seasonally harvested sweet potatoes.

A small order will cost you $1.79 while a large will run you $3.99.

I liked the Sweet Potato Fries best out of the three premium sides that I tried. They're just lightly battered so that the surface fries to a nice, crisp, slightly flaky layer while retaining a moist, soft, sweet interior that's similar to a baked sweet potato.
The fries are cut to just the right thickness to balance between the crisp surface and soft interior. It's quite the treat and among the best sweet potato fries that I've tried.

  1. While these look pretty good, I'm not really a sweet potato fan. But your use of the word triumvirate is cool haha ;)
