Frozen Friday: Stouffer's - Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomato Bisque

Stouffer's Corner Bistro line offers their take on soup and a sandwich with their new Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomato Bisque.  The frozen entrĂ©e features an herb-topped foccacia bread filled with ham and three cheeses plus a creamy tomato bisque for a retail of $3.99 or about $2.00 to $2.50 on sale.

Stouffer's Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt and Creamy Tomato Bisque resembles a fancier albeit frozen take on the classic grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup.
The melt tastes a lot like a smaller Hot Pocket. You cook it like a Hot Pocket as well inside a crisping sleeve. The cheese was slightly liquid-y; I would have liked something more gooey and more of it. I can't say foccacia bread came to mind at any time while eating it. I would say there was "bakery fresh taste" but it was fine. Still, I'd rather just throw some bread and cheese on a butter pan. It's not like it takes much time to cook or prep.
The soup had a nice, thickened consistency and color to it. It tasted fine but I'm not a big fan of tomato soup in general. It's too much like drinking spaghetti sauce for my liking.

Overall, this one is a "pass" for me. It's decent but it's easy to make something better.
