Review: Jack in the Box - Sourdough Jack

Jack in the Box's Sourdough Jack is a fairly simple affair as far as burgers go: a beef patty, bacon, tomatoes, Swiss-style cheese, Mayo-Onion sauce and ketchup sandwiched between two slices of sourdough bread. It's more or less a patty melt for $3.59.

The Sourdough Jack is one of my mainstays at Jack in the Box and I was surprised to find out that the Sister had never tried one before.
It's a simple burger and in this case, simple is good. There's plenty of toasty, cheesy, beefy goodness and just enough bacon and tomatoes to keep it interesting. It's probably one of the best applications of tomato in a fast food burger.

It reads "sourdough bread" but you wouldn't know it from the taste; I'm not super fond of sourdough myself  so it's not really a negative for me.

  2. The sourdough is so much better than the Jumbo Jack.  If I'm not ordering a sack full of tacos, I'm looking at the sourdough bacon cheeseburger.
