Frozen Friday: Lean Cuisine - Spaghetti and Meatballs

Lean Cuisine Spaghetti and Meatballs are a frozen meal of spaghetti noodles, a good number of meatballs, and a hearty tomato sauce.

A 9.5-ounce box retails for about $3.99 or around $2 to $3 on sale.

If you like your spaghetti fairly basic, Lean Cuisine's Spaghetti and Meatballs is a simple as it gets. The tomato sauce is very lightly seasoned and I mostly just tasted tomatoes and not much else; I prefer a little bit more in the way of herbs and spices, a little more complexity to my tomato sauce I guess.

The meatballs were a nice size but like the tomato sauce, they were very basic and lightly seasoned. It makes for decent eating but not much to wow you.

The spaghetti noodles were of a nice thickness and satisfying in that respect but tended to clump a bit and were a bit overdone.

Lean Cuisine's Spaghetti and Meatballs is decent and fine if you just want the basics but overall, I just wanted more flavor from this dish.
