Review: Arby's Pizza Slider

Arby's Pizza Slider features Genoa salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, and marinara sauce on a mini bun.

I picked one up for $1.29 on a promo (Arby's sliders are normally $1.59 a piece).

The marinara definitely did the bulk of the heavy lifting for the new slider and provided a little bit of sweet and a lot of tangy with a just bit of herb notes.

Between the sauce, the pepperoni, and the salami, the Pizza Slider was quite salty.

There was a decently thick provolone slice but it couldn't cut through the sauce in terms of flavor and didn't provide the desired gooey factor you might get from a better melting cheese.

There's rustic dinner roll feel to Arby's slider bun. It's more dense than Arby's regular bun but was still soft and sported just a bit more of a crust.

When it comes down to it, Arby's Pizza Slider was more of a pizza sauce slider in my book and a very salty one at that.
