Del Taco's carnitas can be found in a number of new and returning menu items:
- New Carnitas Street Taco Plato - Two carnitas street tacos topped with green sauce, diced onions, chopped cilantro, and hand-sliced avocado, served with fresca lime rice, slow-cooked beans, chips, and salsa.
- Carnitas Wet Burrito Plato - A Carnitas Combo Burrito topped with green sauce, hand-grated cheddar cheese, and hand-sliced avocado, served with fresca lime rice, slow-cooked beans, chips, and salsa.
- 2 for $5 (at participating locations) Carnitas Combo Burritos - Carnitas, slow-cooked beans, hand-grated cheddar cheese, and green sauce in a warm flour tortilla.
- Epic Carnitas Burrito - An over-sized burrito featuring carnitas, hand-grated cheddar cheese, tangy chipotle sauce, fresca lime rice, seasoned black beans, and handmade pico de gallo salsa, wrapped in a warm, giant flour tortilla.
- Carnitas Loaded Fries (my review here) - Crinkle-cut fries topped with carnitas, hand-grated cheddar cheese, savory secret sauce, diced onions, and chopped cilantro.
In addition to the return of shredded pork, Del Taco also introduces a new, limited-time dessert: the Sweet Cream Churro. It features a warm churro filled with sweet cream and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.
